- Basmathi rice- 2 cups
- Carrot-1 nos
- Beans-10 nos
- Cabbage- 1/2 cup
- Capsicum-1/2
- Onion-1 medium
- Green onion-2 spring (chopped)
- Salt and pepper -To taste
- Soy sauce-1 tablespoon
- Garlic-4 nos ( Chopped)
- Green chilly-3 nos
- Jeera-1 teaspoon
- Wash and soak rice in water for 15 mins.
- Boil 5 cups water,add salt and oil in the water.Cook the rice ,drain all water completely.
- Stripe all vegetables including onion.
Method:
- Heat oil in pan,when it's started smoking add all tempering ingredients.
- Fry for less than 30 sec.,
- Add carrot,beans,cabbage fry in oil for 3-5 mins.
- Don't close the lid.
- Once vegetable half cooked add onion,spring onions (save some spring onions) capsicum,fry for 2 mins.
- Now add the soy sauce,salt and pepper.Mix it well.
- Add the cooked rice,mix it gently.
- Add some more raw spring onion on top ,mix it again.
- That's it simple Indo - chinese rice ready to enjoy... :)
Note:
- If you closed the lid while cooking the vegetables,it'll get tender.
