Ingredients:
- Rice -1 cup
- Thoor dal-1/2 cup
- Onion-1 medium (Chopped)
- Tomato-1 big (Chopped)
- Garlic- 2 nos (mashed)
- Green Chillies(R) Red chilly-2 nos(Slitted)
- Mustard/Jeer-1 teaspoon
- Curry leaves-few
- Hing
- Rasam Powder/Rasap Podi-1 teaspoon full
- Water- 2 and 1/4th cup.
Method:
- Soak Rice and Dal together for 15 min.
- Heat oil In pressure cooker pinch Hing and splutter Mustard,jeera and curry leaves.
- Add Green chilly and mashed garlic fry for 1 min in low flame.
- Add onions and fry till changes soft.
- Add tomato and fry till gets mushy.
- Now add water &Salt Bring to boil.add Rasam Powder & Cilantro on top and pressure cook it.3 Whistle Is fine.
- Once pressure downs,mix gently.The rice and dal have to be separate.
- Ready to serve with Pickle (R) chips.
