Parupu Urandai kuzhambu

 Ingredients:

  1. Onion-1 chopped
  2. Tomato-1 chopped
  3. Tamarind juice-1/2 cup
  4. Sesame Oil-3teaspoon
  5. Garlic-10 peeled
  6. Curry leaves-few leaves
  7. Methi seeds-1/2teaspoon
  8. Mustard-1/2 teapsoon
Ingredients for Urandai:

  1. Toor dal-1cup
  2. Red chilly-2
  3. Jeera-1/2teaspoon     
Soak Dal,jeera,red chilly together for 2hours,drain all water and grind in to course paste.dont add water.Like parrupu vadi.Transfer in to bowl keep aside.
cut the coconut in small bite pieces. Add Cocont pieces,chopped cilantro,chopped onion,curry leaves and salt.mix well with hand.Make in to  small small,lemon size ball and steam it in idli pan for 8-10mns.You can use electric steamer also.Once it's ready take it out.

To grind:
  1. coconut-1cup
  2. Jeera-1/2teaspoon
Grind these both ingredients with adding little water,take a  coconut milk.

Method:
  1. Heat a pan with 3teaspoon of oil.splutter Mustard,Methi seeds,curry leaves.
  2. Add garlic,red chilly fry well.add onions,fry till turns color
  3. Add tomato and fry well.add turmeric powder,salt,red chilly powder.let it cook for 2 mns.
  4. Now add tamarind juice and mix well let it boil for 3-4 mns.
  5. After add the Parupu Urandai( Dal balls) in to the sause.mix Gently in spoon.
  6. Let it be for 2-3 mns.Parupu Urandai ,will get the flavor in.can add required water for thin kuzhambu.
  7. Finally add coconut milk,dont allow to boil.keep a flame in small and cook  it for 3 mns.In between mix Gently.    
  8. It's ready to serve.it'll go with White rice.rasam satham,curd rice.

Here i added Coconuts,cilantro,onion in Parrupu urandai.It'll give excellent Taste while biting.Instead of coconut mill we can use coconut paste also ,but adding coconut paste the Gravy-Kuzhambu will come very thick.The Urandai alone will taste very good.
